Success Story: 3 Month Approval of a Military I-130 DCF Through London

Our client was previously a part of the U.S. Airforce, stationed in London. During this time he was married to a French national, both of them residing in the UK. Our client received a PCS (permanent change of station) order to move back to the U.S.. He reached out to our firm to make sure his wife could move to the U.S. with him.

DCF allows eligible U.S. citizens to file a Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, directly with a U.S. embassy abroad rather than going through the standard USCIS processing centers. This often dramatically reduces processing time, turning what might be a 16-18 month ordeal into a matter of weeks or a few months. In the UK, DCF is available only under exceptional circumstances, and all requests are reviewed individually by the U.S. Embassy in London. Under the qualifying circumstances of Direct Consular Filing, our client was eligible because he is serving in the military.

With a short liaison with the U.S. Embassy in London and our firm, we were able to secure an approval for our client’s I-130 petition in just 3 months. Blue Lake Law would like to extend a huge congratulations for our client and his wife who are now happily living in the U.S..

At Blue Lake Law we have in-depth experience handling DCF requests with the U.S. Embassy in London, including complex cases not only involving military service, but also urgent relocations, and humanitarian concerns. We understand the stakes and work efficiently to help clients take advantage of this faster immigration route.
