Success Story: Approval of Two I-130 Petitions Through U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt
As of recently our firm has been flooded with I-130 petitions for Dutch nationals. Blue Lake Law successfully obtained two I-130 petitions for two different Dutch nationals, for different cases. These two clients got married to U.S. citizens who were residing in the Netherlands. Our clients wanted to move to the U.S. to continue living together with their spouses.
The I-130 Petition for Alien Relatives is no longer handled through the U.S. consulate in Amsterdam, so we had to work with the U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany to help our clients. Netherlands does not have a USCIS field office, petitioners must usually file Form I-130 by mail to the USCIS Chicago Lockbox. After which the cases are handled through Frankfurt during consular processing, as the U.S. The Consulate General in Frankfurt serves as a regional consular hub for parts of Europe for immigrant visa interviews.
The petitions were approved in 18 months, which is about an average petition filing time. We want to extend a huge congratulations to our clients who are on their way to happily living in the U.S. with their spouses.
At Blue Lake Law, we have extensive experience navigating the unique procedural requirements that come with I-130 petitions for Dutch nationals, including working directly with the U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt for consular processing.
We understand the nuances of this process, from filing with the USCIS Chicago Lockbox to coordinating immigrant visa interviews through Frankfurt. We are here to guide you every step of the way. If you or your spouse are a Dutch national looking to build your life together in the United States, our team has the hands-on experience to make that journey as smooth as possible.
