Please note: COVID-19 vaccination is no longer a requirement for U.S. Green Cards. Please see here for the vaccines that are required for US immigration
Immigrant Visa applicants in the United Kingdom, including those applying for Family
Based and Employment Based Green Cards need to undergo a medical examination
at the panel physician before having their Immigrant Visa interview at the U.S.
Embassy in London.
In order to be considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the purposes of this
medical examination, all applicants for an Immigrant Visa must have received a
COVID-19 booster in the past 12 months. The NHS has stopped administering the
COVID vaccine to many individuals and so it is only possible to receive the COVID-
19 booster on the NHS under certain circumstances.
Those who have not had a COVID booster in the past 12 months are directed by the
panel physician to receive the booster privately. There is a list of pharmacies in the
UK which provide the COVID-19 vaccine privately.
Should you not wish to take vaccines for the purpose of immigration to the United
States, contact us today to discuss the possibility of an I-601 moral exemption
waiver.
