Success Story – 3 x DCF I-130 Direct Consular Filings in London

Our client, a U.S. citizen living in London, received a short notice job offer in the United States. Her new job was going to start in 4 months and she wanted to relocate with her husband, a British citizen, and her two children. She was unable to pass her U.S. citizenship to her kids because of insufficient physical presence in the U.S. required by USCIS to transfer citizenship. Our firm reached out to the U.S. Embassy in London to see if our client’s case would be considered an exceptional circumstance. Fortunately, the embassy agreed to handle the three I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) forms directly, allowing our firm to Direct Consular File (DCF) all three applications. This is an excellent result from our firm. Many I-130 petitions take 14-15 months to process. However, with sufficient evidence and communication with the embassy, Blue Lake Law was able to expedite the process by filing the petitions through DCF. This significantly shortens the processing time. We would like to extend a huge congratulations to our client and her family who are on their way to happily living together in the U.S.

At Blue Lake Law, we specialize in assisting U.S. citizens and their families living overseas with Direct Consular Filing. Our team has extensive experience with DCF cases filed through the U.S. Embassy in London and embassies throughout Europe.

We guide clients through every step, from preparing the DCF request to assembling evidence and preparing for the consular interview.
