Success Story: Approval of Form I-130 for a Spouse of a U.S. Citizen Living  in Naples

Our client, an Italian national residing in Italy, married a U.S. citizen. They reached out to our firm so we could assist them in obtaining a Green Card for our client.

Our firm filed an I-130 application, this is a petition for an alien relative. This is filed as the first step in obtaining an Immigrant Visa and eventually a Green Card for foreign spouses. Officially an I-130 petition for a spouse is the form a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident files with USCIS to establish a legally valid marriage and prove the marital relationship is genuine, allowing the foreign spouse to seek a green card. Once approved, it serves as the foundation for the spouse to either adjust status if already in the U.S. or go through consular processing abroad to obtain an immigrant visa.

After securing the I-130 approval our firm continued to assist with our client’s case through the consular processing. As a result our firm was successfully able to obtain an Immigrant Visa for our client. Blue Lake Law would like to extend a huge congratulations to our client and her husband who are now happily living together in the U.S..

Navigating a spousal I-130 petition and the consular process can feel overwhelming, especially when family members are living oceans apart while they wait. Blue Lake Law has extensive experience guiding clients through every stage of this journey, from filing the initial petition to seeing clients through to their final visa interview abroad. If you’re a U.S. citizen or permanent resident looking to bring your spouse to the United States, contact Blue Lake Law today, we’re here to help reunite your family.
