Success Story: Approval of Two CRBA and First Passport Applications in Three Weeks

Our team at Blue Lake Law helped our client, a US citizen residing in the Netherlands, receive approval for two CRBAs (Consular Report of Birth Abroad) and First Passport applications for her two children. These applications are filed to prove US citizenship of children born outside of the US to parents who are US citizens. The evidence used to prove that there is a parent who is a US citizen present in the US was an affidavit of evidence and passport stamps. This was a very quick service only taking exactly three weeks from the date of our client’s interview to the receipt of her children’ s first passports. What makes this case particularly interesting is that our firm was able to verify the physical presence of a parent that was a US citizen through only showing passport entry and exit stamps, as well as affidavits of support from people who had knowledge of the parent’s physical presence in the US. This is a huge success for both our firm and our clients. Usually consulates require comprehensive and verifiable proof to approve CRBAs, and this is often a lot more documents than affidavits of support and passport stamps. However, with the help and preparation of documents, as well as liasoning between our client and the consulate Blue Lake Law was able to secure the approval of the two CRBAs and First Passports for our clients. The staff from the US Consulate in Amsterdam were very helpful and a pleasure to work with. Our firm has a lot of experience working with the US Consulate in Amsterdam and thus have built a great rapport with them. We would like to extend a congratulations to our client and her family!
