Success Story: Client Initially Accused of Fraud at Border Crossing, Fraud was Overturned in 3 Weeks
Our client, a Canadian citizen, petitioned for an Adjustment of Status based on the marriage of a US citizen. Blue Lake Law filed forms; I-130 and I-485 for her case. Due to our client’s sincere moral beliefs against vaccines of all kinds we also had to include a I-601 waiver of inadmissibility to prove her beliefs were sincere. An I-601 waiver is filed when an immigration applicant refuses required vaccinations due to sincerely held religious or moral beliefs, making them technically “inadmissible” for a green card or visa. Without an approved waiver, applicants who decline vaccinations on non-medical grounds will have their immigration application denied. This is a waiver procedure our firm specifically specializes in. Despite the approvals of the I-130 and I-601 petitions, because of the pending I-485 form our client was accused of fraud at their adjustment interview. Their denial was based on the accusation that she had preconceived intent to adjust status at the border crossing, meaning the immigration officers believed our client was lying about her true intentions to enter the US. Blue Lake Law reviewed our clients record, we argued that USCIS was incorrect and misapplied the finding of inadmissibility. With our firm’s help we overturned USCIS’s verdict, resulting in our client’s green card being approved in 3 weeks. This is a huge success from Blue Lake Law, we aim to ensure the success of our client’s immigration cases no matter the obstacles.
