Our client, a British national, found love in the United States with a US citizen. Our client met his wife while he was in the US on ESTA, which is an electronic travel authorization that allowed him to travel to the US for 90 days. While in the US he married his now wife, even though he had to return to the UK. Not being able to be without his wife any longer, our now client contacted Blue Lake Law to help him with his immigration documents. Since our client was already married when applying for his visa, we filed an I-130 which is a petition for an alien relative, as well as an I-485 which allows immigrants who obtain a visa to work. While this case in terms of processing time was nothing out of the ordinary and both applications were filed concurrently, our client was approved for both without having to attend an interview.
